Poulomi Super Specialty Hospital

Dr. A.S Rao Nagar ,Secunderabad
August 07, 2011
Really bad. A case of false diagnosis Dr's in-comptence extreme high cost of treatment. My dad has suddenly taken ill and we rushed to Poulomi to admit him. There he underwent the usual CT scans and a battery of tests. Dr. Gopal Pobuduva reviewed the CT scan and other tests and concluded that there is a clot in brain and gave treatment for same. It turned out that this scan on which Dr. Gopal based his treatment belonged to someone else..not my dad's...the irony is that, when my sister pointed out that the name on the cover of the scan is different, Dr. Gopal simply stated that he re-used an existing cover. This mistake was discovered by Poulomi's MD and he said he would take action against Dr. Gopal..apparently..not sure what action will be taken, but this entire chain of events seems like a bizzare repeat of Chiranjeevi;s Tagore movie (who ever thought life would imitate a movie) Now, why am i writing this? ==> If there's a someone like me, who wants to research hospitals before admitting thier loved ones, I hope this provides a cautionary tale. Consider this, after having paid 20,000 Rs per day for ICU care Super speciality doctor's knowledge, if we get such false diagnosis and treatment, then what is our re-course? What a common man like us, who cannot afford Rs20,000 per day, should do...specially when our income per month is barely Rs 10,000? May God help India.
