Prof (Dr) HariNarayan, one of the leading endocrinogolist wanted me to get blood tests done in one particular lab. He refused to treat me when I got my blood tests done from another well known lab which is part of an international chain and has been certified. He did not even look at me or try to improve my condition in anyway. He simply said, "you didn't listen to me. You should have gone to the lab I wanted you to go. Now I can't help you." While he didnt mention what was wrong with the blood report, I am certain he was upset that he missed out on the commission which he would have got from the lab he had recommended (and it would have been a huge sum as it my Bills were nearly 7000 Rupees.
