Peek-A-Boo

Just found out that my daughter was being hit by the teachers at the Peek a boo everard nagar branch! I was shocked to say the least when my daughter came back home and told me that she was hit because she was crying. She did not cry during her first month at school. This is her second month and she refused to even go near the school door and kept crying inconsolably. I suspected something drastic had happened. It was only when we got back home and when she was calm that I asked her "what do you do at school?" and she replied "crying"...when I further asked "what does your teacher/aunty do when you cry?"..she said "thappad" (slap). My heart just sank at that time. Addressed the problem with their center manager, Lolita, who started blaming me for being "too overprotective" about the kids and telling me that they had to give a little "pat" on the hands or leg in order to "discipline" the child! Further she said that when there are 14 kids misbehaving and they are not obeying, they were "only human" and so that they have to "hit" the children a little bit. WOW! Told her that it is my duty as a mother to protect my 2 year old..after all, she is only 2!!! When I complained about their teacher not being very friendly or open with the mothers in sharing the child’s progress, Lolita tells me that I might be intimidating their teacher by "asking too much" and that the teacher must be thinking that "ye mother to upar he chad jaati hai"!! God!! How are these people allowed to run a school! I reached school one day to find my daughter crying and the teacher just standing, not making any attempt to comfort my child. When I reported this to Lolita, she told me that the teacher is very good at everything else but lacks emotional skills with the kids! Shocker for me coz is that not the most important quality for a pre-school teacher??!!! I made a huge mistake with the school. Intend to take strict action against them so that the same does not happen with any other kid or mother. I expected some assurance from the center head that the matter will be investigated or some comfort factor, instead all she did was play blame-games. Needless to say, I will never recommend this school to any parent
