I am V.T.Venkataram, Advocate and Consumer activist ( and President, Chennai Consumers),a cancer patient, aged about 66 years. I reside in 5/2, Iswar Apartments, EC Road, Thiruvanmiyur , Chennai. I am a regular customer in your shop.Today evening i purchased some items from your shop and left your shop. After i left the shop and approached the main road, i tore off the bil. The watchman then called me and asked me as to why i tore off the bill and he tpld me that he is duty bound to inspect the bill of all customers. The manner in which he called me was uncultered. It is also a fact that he rarely seals any outgoing bills. The matter was brought to the notice of the manager who said that the watchman seals all the out going bills. But i showed him that it was never done by the watchman to any customer. If really he was interested in sealing my bill, he ought to have done it when i crossed him. I request the concerned authorities to ensure that self respect and dignity of customers is not insulted. Please ask them to put a board that bills should be sealed by watchman and let them ensure that there is no discrimination between customers in sealing the bill. I feel insulted and humiliated and yet to decide whether i have to step into the shop again. Thanks & Regards, Yours Sincerely, V.T.Venkataram Mail ID vtvenkataram@gmail.com
