Lakme Beauty salon on coles road is a case study on how customer service should NOT be. The lady who manages the salon is rude over the phone, rude in person and rude to everyone around her, all the time! She looks at you like you are doing her a favour by going there, and that they are not there to serve you!!
Ask her the price of a service and she will take her time to answer.. it's like their price list is a precious classified document that only she has access to! When it was time to pay, she rudely asked for my phone number. I said I don't want to give it. She glared at me and took her time printing out the bill. She complained about how because I didn't give my phone number, she would have to add my bill in another customer's account with the same name! Seriously? Do they think I care?! I don't know of many other places (except maybe a doctor's, lawyer's or accountant's office) where a customer's phone number is given more priority than the customer itself!! Why does Lakme want my phone number, and what are they going to do with it?
As I was waiting to print out a bill, another customer walked in. She just made that customer wait despite about ten service personnel sitting around free at that time. Very shameful!
As a customer, I only want quick service and I want it without any hassles in a friendly environment. I would willingly pay more if a salon can just give me that.
I was never treated this badly in any salon. I wanted to spend more time there but left quickly and went to an unbranded neighbourhood parlour where I was served in a friendly manner, in an ambience that just lifted my mood and made my time, and money, worth it.
