Today evening I took my wife by having a prior appointment with a Obstetrics & Gynecologist. My wife is 2 months pregnant & she was having extensive fluid discharges when she is at work or stressed and wanted to see if the fluid was not Amniotic that would have future consequences. Dr checked her & frightened us by exaggerating the situation. All her questions were money oriented (like, where you are planning to have have the delivery done? So & so place is not good. etc..). She wrote a big list of tests, many medicines (antibiotics, anti-emetic, etc) & an immediate admit in the hospital with no tentative date of discharge. She made us so tensed & heightened the situation. I am aware of few things about pregnancy (explore & study thru internet) & so I was able to make out the she is trying to take advantage of the situation & wanted to take a 2nd opinion. Lastly, her fees was Rs.300 but the receptionist took Rs.350 from us.
Next moment we went to ANN Hospital. Dr was so pleasant to us. She did transvaginal scan & confirmed that everything is normal with baby & the fluid discharge is due to Urinary tract infection. She showed our 2 months baby & made us hear its heart beat. That was amazing moment. We were so happy & experience was fabulous.
