I had dined 3 years back & kept the impression that it was a restaurant serving good food with value for money. Took my family on Sunday evening (8 members) 3rd Feb 2013. Had an awful experience. Firstly, good points: Valet Service, vendor selling bangles at door. Negatives: Plenty. No welcome. asked for a table from loosely attired, in a suit, manager showed us a table. We had to move tables ourselves to make seating. Order was taken in most rude manner by server. We had ordered almost everthing restaurant had to offer: Rajasthani, Gujrati, Punjabi Thali & PavBhaji thali. Gujrati/Rajasthani were served within 5 minutes. Indian servings & Pav Bhaji platter took time, almost 10 mnts. That meant, 3 people with food infront could not start & apolgised to fellow guests. Finally they served. Pavbhaji needed two more reminders. Food was in parts OK. Indian was pathetic, but I would give it a passe, since you dont come to Suruchi for Indian. Almost all dishes in Rajasthani & Gujrati were high in chilly(spice). We quietly had our meal except I had to ask 4 times for a spoon. Refills or extra servings were hard to come by, whilst eating. They came but when they wanted or rather ready. Anyways, we all were light eaters. The only saving grace was the associate serving dessert. No thank you, no look forwards offered before leaving. Only bill slapped on our table. Thank You Suruchi!!!!!!
I wish I had not visited, atleast I would have still recommended it to people, and spent INR 2,500 and wasted more importantly, precious family time on such rude service and average food. For Rajasthani or Gujrati food look for alternative restaurants.
