I took my son for a haircut there today. He kicked almost everything which was within kicking distance and made enough noise to scare away anybody around. The entire staff maintained their calm under this calamity and were able to give him a haircut in approx 45 mins. Thanks a lot to the entire staff.

Landed up here again today along with my wife. We started with a starter made from banana flower which tasted yummy with the mustard sauce ( Bong Ishtyle ). We also had Aam Pana which was OK. I guess I like the UP version better. We had Chana Dal, Fried Brinjol with Matar Puris and Pulav. All the items tasted good and was also confirmed by my wife who knows more about Bong food as she used to stay in Jamshedpur. Overall a nice place to visit even if you are a Vegie. BTW they do not serve buffet any more.

One more visit to the place and things are still as great as ever. They use disposable plates and katoris now. Parathas were yummy and the sabzis tasted great although a bit oily. Must go place for anyone who visits Bangalore.

The Sidewalk Cafe

This is certainly one of the hidden treasures in Bangalore. Located 100 meters from inner ring road, it is amazingly silent and grand. Valet parking takes care of your parking blues. The interiors are an effort to create road side European cafe feel. The food is the best part of the entire package. I have gone twice and first time I had some veg stew with Appams. Second time it was Dum Biryani. Both visits were great in terms of overall experience. They also have a free wi-fi so it makes perfect sense to have your business meetings here. The best part is that I pay only half the price here being a DineClub ( http://http://dineclub.in/ ) member :)

Went for lunch with office folks yesterday. I was probably the only veggie around in a Bong place but their buffet had enough options. Don't remember the name all the dishes but there was a green dry sabzi which tasted good. We also had shallow fried brinjol which tasted great. The green peas stuffed puri and Sandesh were the best part of the buffet. Will go there again for sure.

We had our lunch here today. Started the food with a tomato shorba which tasted great and moved on to a ginger juice based drink which was OK. I would have loved to see soda instead of coke in this. In the main course we had a paneer dish, dal makhani and aloo. All of them tasted great with some yummy breads. We ended the lunch with Masala Chai which was really good. Overall good food, lot of butter as u might expect from punjabi food. Decent ambiance and prices are a little bit on the higher side.

We had our lunch there today and a great experience indeed. They have a set menu which has enough choices. Our food started with three starters. Paneer Tikka was very mild but tasted good. Tandoori gobhi was well marinated and you obviously can't go wrong with fried potatoes. The main course had some Palak Paneer, Tawa Veg and Dal Makhani. All the three items were great and Dal went really well with the rice. There was Moong Dal Halwa with icecream in deserts. It cost us just Rs 207 including taxes which is good value for money. Go for it.

Went to the place last night. They have a nice roof top ambiance and comfortable seating. They also have hookahs for people who smoke. Music is not too loud and service is quick.

Ragoos Restaurant

Went again to the place and it still makes magic. This time I tried the pizza which had mangoes, pineapple and jalapenos on my half and plain Margaretta on my daughter's half. We chose deep pan crust this time. Amazing stuff. Always reminds me of the New Heaven pizza I used to have Connecticut. You don't even need a drink along with it to wash it down. Once you eat this I can assure you that you will not go back to those factory pizza in large chains.

OK... So what if I was the only vegie who dared to enter this temple of non-veg food. I still had pretty good options. I tried a Kadak Tandoori Roti with Veg Do Pyaza. The curry was all about how Andhra food is supposed to be - oily and spicy and obviously yummy. Besides that amazing Veg biryani with some raita to cool down things a little bit. Your trip to Hyderabad is not complete without a trip to this place even if you are a vegie.

So a big family outing in this place to celebrate my Mom's Bday. We tried almost everything and everything was yummy. Few things which are a must try are - Matar Kulcha - Hot milk with hot Jalebis - Dholka and Khandvi

I am a semi tamilian. Just stating it to ensure that you value my comments a little bit more :) We went here for breakfast today. We have been a regular visitor to the BG Road branch but first visit to the Koarmangla branch. This place is all about food. We had idli vada, pudi dosa and pongal. Idli was soft and Vada was crispy. Pongal reminded me of the great Pongal I have had in Combitore. The Pudi Dosa was great. I love to have ghee roast but I guess I need to start my morning a little bit earlier to get that. Maybe next time. The chutneys tasted good but I would have preferred a hotter ( temperature ) version of Sambhar. And ya coffee was great. Got to go again to keep my tamilian half happy and try Ghee Roast.

Dunno what the real Chettinad food is but I liked my Veg meal here. Had lots of varieties of Sambhar and Rasam and vegetables. Service was quick and seating was spacious. I guess non-veg is the area of specialty for them.
