We had booked a tour for Phuket with D Paul's. On the day of travel we got a call from their office that the Hotel which we had booked had some sanitation problem and they were shifting us to some other hotel of lower category. When I contacted the Hotel in Phuket, they told the reservation were there in our name, but they had been cancelled as they the agent did not pay them money. When I confronted them, they told me they had no control over the agent in Phuket,which is also nonsense.After much fighting and threating them of court case they booked the hotel of the same category,which only I suggested after looking up at TripAdvisor.Now I understand why there packages for the same hotel were 5000-6000 cheaper than other travel agents.It is better to book with a reliable travel agent rather than getting lured by the cheap promises of Dpauls.
