I have been a patient of Dr Dasgupta for many many yrs. He is an excellent doctor, a brilliant Neurologist and 100% honest man. Patients' interest is his prime motive. With that end in view, his secretaries direct the patients to their nearest diagnostic clinics (as there are mushroom of such clinics which are subquality in Kolkata) and to the best chemists (as 50% of drugs available in Kolkata now are spurious). Such helping effort is misunderstood as some patients think that Dr Dasgupta owns the diagnostic clinics or the Chemist shops where patients are referred. The borderline between Neurology and Psychiatry is very thin. Reactions of those in border line on Psychiatry side is very sad indeed.
