It has been one of the worst experiences to get my kitchen done by Dhelvon. As some other folks have mentioned, they would be very welcoming until you have given them the project and paid the full amount. After that they won’t bother to pick your call at all. I too got mislead by their sophistication. I encountered the following problems. 1. During the discussion and design phase Deepak (Dhelvon’s owner) will give you his suggestion about design and fittings, which I think is the standard design and fitting he uses for all his projects. I mentioned some small and big things where I wanted to do things little differently. I believe everyone wants to do some customization as per their preference. Deepak listens and agrees to all of them. But he never notes them down. During implementation of project when you point out that its not going as per what was discussed, he mentions that we never agreed upon it and gives reference of the final design which he had sent for approval. The final design which he sends doesn’t have lot of details. So anyone would approve the design assuming that whatever was discussed and agreed up, but not explicitly mentioned in design, should be taken care of. Then he says that since its not there in approved design it will be considered as change and you will have to pay extra for it. 2. His execution is totally mismanaged and uncoordinated. I would have told him 20 times that since I am already staying in the house and would have to shift the kitchen to one of the rooms so its most important that work should finish in minimal time. He promised he that he would finish the work in 10 days, but if there are any delays at max it would be 20 days. It took 33 days for the work to finish. Many days were wasted either due to lack of material or due to unavailability of carpenter or mason or plumber. Sometimes carpenter cannot proceed without something being done by mason. Other times electrician cannot proceed without something done by carpenter. But all of them will never come together. And when you try to call Deepak to make him aware of the situation he never picks. Even the carpenter was cribbing that Deepak was wasting lot of his time by sending him to customer’s site without sending the material. I felt very frustrated and helpless during entire implementation phase. 3. The carpenter that was sent to my house was someone that Deepak hired (on contract) for the first time. His team’s workmanship was poor and that is troubling me now as some drawers/door won’t close properly, there is space wasted between drawers, some screws fell out etc 4. My kitchen work got approx. 95% complete and the kitchen was in usable state but there were 5-6 small things still pending. They are still pending since last 6 months even after repeated reminders. In addition there are certain problems with some hinges and fittings that have come up just within 4 months which also have been informed to Deepak. I have lost all hope now and don’t think those pending tasks and problems will ever be taken care of. The amount of money that I paid for my kitchen is much higher than average. I inquired with EVOK also who were quoting less, but they only do the carpentary work. They would give me references of mason, plumber etc but I would have to coordinate with them myself. That’s why I went with Dhelvon thinking that because I am paying such a premium everything would be best and I won’t have to worry about anything. But I am highly disappointed. Conclusion: Stay away from Dhelvon.
