I'd beg to differ with "Med" on that, actually. The poor participation rate in higher classes is not her doing entirely. the students aren't too keen on it, i mean come on, did you focus more on fancy dress competitions or your board exams in 12th grade? Add to that the over bearing parents who don't WANT their kids to participate in ANYTHING and would do everything to ensure they don't get pulled into any activity (trust me, I'm a student council member in that school and it was such a pain in the rear to think of a suitable assistant head girl because, hey, the parents of the girl we had in mind were vehement in their stand to not let their daughter do anything that had a whiff of co-curricular in it). And about the working saturdays? The schedule is prepared at the start of every session and any changes (holidays/ extra working saturdays etc.) are duly notified. So I don't understand the whining up there.
