I was looking to purchase a laptop and visited Sony Centre in Jaya Nagar 5 Block (also known as R.L Properties and investments) on 31-Mar-2014. Sony Centre sales people showed me a laptop Multi-flip vaio and it was good and I showed my interest. Sony Centre people told me that 31-Mar-2014 is the last day for offers, offers will be withdrawn and prices will be increased from 1-Apr-2014. Believeing what Sony centre people told, I purchased the laptop paying Rs. 79,990 (List Price was Rs. 84,990). Next week (within a couple of days the list price was dropped to Rs. 64,990 - reduction in price by Rs. 20000). Sony Centre officials in Jaya Nagar 5th Block not only mis-guided me, refusing to provide me with the refund or in-lieu for refund (I am willing to purchase some other product instead of cash refund). They have also stopped answering my calls. I complained about this incident to Sony thru their website and I received a email from Sony asking me to contact the dealer from whom I purchased the laptop. The so called reputable, value based organization such as SONY is taking us for a ride. I would like to warn my fellow citizens to be aware of this incidence and be extra careful, while dealing with Sony Centre and Sony. I have decided that I will never ever buy a Sony product. I would request fellow citizens also to boycott Sony Center by RL Investments and Sony Products. Sony is making huge losses all over india and is looting their loyal indian customers.
