My requirement = Print of 50 plus photos with matte finish. I visited GK Vale, Jayanagar and gave the order and went back the next day to pick my order. To my shock, the prints were of glossy finish though my order was for matte finish. The lady who took the order had missed to mark the order as matte finish even though I had reminded many number of times that I wanted matte finish. Another argument.. GK folks argued that I never asked for matte finish. This was just too much. The manager of the store was not ready to accept their mistake, rather he gave an offer to print the entire set again with matte finish, if I agreed to pay half of the reprinting cost(in addition to gloss finish cost). I was so so dejected by their attitude. Agreeing to their offer would have meant I had wronged. I could just walk away, losing some money but gaining some knowledge to not to visit GK Vale ever again.
Sorry, there was I had no option to select zero stars. This is without doubt the worst photo centre in entire Bangalore. One fine day, I gave an order of more than 50 prints at this store. Expectations were that GK vale would do justice to my photographs. To my horror, when i saw the prints, they were not at all printed well. The alignment while printing was not correct and i could notice white lines in the edges. Some pics of mine had borders and I could easily notice the alignment issues. When I showed these, they started apologizing and promised me new prints the next day. So what do i see the next day, the unprinted parts in the photo were just chopped off. Each photo was of different sizes now. They had not bothered to print new ones. Total apathy by the people managing the store. They had no intention of accepting to their mistake and infact raised their voice. After much fight, they returned my advance.
