I have been attending Bhaswati's yoga classes for a year now. Though the classes were initially for women, now it is open for men as well. I was very skeptical in the beginning as to whether yoga will benefit men. But i was in for a pleasant surprise. I have been immensely benefited. Its not strenuous which is a misconception, and the one hour yoga is more helpful than an hour in the gym. The main difference is that the entire body gets exercised, unlike workouts. The long term benefits are huge and its worth spending time. Of course the benefits are not seen immediately (nowadays we need instant gratification) , but over a period of time. I have become more active, flexible . The pranayam techniques and Suryanamaskara's are really helpful. It needs to be practiced regularly to see the benefits. I will strongly recommend the classes to anyone who is interested in improving health. This course helps people in IT profession who are not used to moving around. Bhaswati combines regular yoga with general excercise, which i find good. The yoga classes are conveniently located at Bellandur and close to Marathahalli .
