Very very expensive taxi for local service. I paid 300 Rs. for around 8 kms, because I was in a hurry and I had already called them. Given I had only 30 minutes I had to go with first guy whom I called. I f had this info. yesterday I would have called somebody else.
My advice, take it only if you can book a day early. if you only have1-2 hours window they simply will say they don't have cabs available after 5 minutes wait [That was quite good compared to meru cabs - atleast they say it is not available pretty quick]. Also their wait time is high - you have to wait something like 15 minutes to book a cab. I guess they don't have many cabs and/or many operators.
I wouldn't take a chance with them with airport or railway station drops particularly if you have only 2-3 hours as you will only waste time. I wasted a lot time trying this and meru cabs when I had 3 hours window and ended up going with an expensive last minute taxi anyway - with wasted time and frusturation to boot. If you are going with plenty of time on hand then I guess you would be ok.
My experience yesterday was very similar to the commenter on Jan 10. I booked online for going to cantonment station at 7.15 pm for 8.15 pm. I thought it is done. I grew suspicious when I didn't get any SMS or E-mail till 7.45 and I called their helpline and selected booking status [option 2]. After 15 minutes wait I got a representative who told me there is no such booking [apparently online bookings go into a blackhole] and put me in another queue for new booking where I had to wait for another 13 minutes only to be told that there is no cab available till 12.30 am! I wasted 30 minutes to know that their online booking doesn't work and there is no cab - excellent!
By this time I was growing desperate as my train was at 10 and it was already 8.20, atlast I had to catch a taxi for 400 Rs. for 8 kms as I called them last minute and really they were in charge [I had no choice but to take it, with kids, luggage and rain!].
1. if their online system doesn't work why do they keep the site up to confuse people?
2. If they have no cabs available why do they keep people waiting for 30 minutes to tell it.
So my advice, take it only if you can book a DAY early. if you only have 3-4 hours window they are simply untrustable. I wouldn't take a chance with them again with airport or railway station drops. If you are going on a pleasure trip to other part of the city with plenty of time on hand then I guess you would be ok.
Don't use them for local taxi. They charge a minimum of 250. It is better to go with something like meru cabs [meter taxi]
Also these guys are unreliable. we booked a taxi to mysore for last saturaday [at friday night] and they didn't turn up!
-1. absolute NO GO. I went to indira nagar bangaliana and they looted my 90 rupees for a small piece of fish and almost no gravy [less than 1/10 of what normal restaurants give] for what they called Bhetki fish "curry" - but no curry and no fish. Absolute crap.
