I had a bitter experience with Barathi Call taxi. I booked the call taxi on 7 May 2010 around 5 pm for my wife. She had some health issue so it was urgent to book a taxi. I got a booking immediately and said they would reach immediately. And as they said the taxi (tata indica) reached immediately at MEPZ tamabaram. For Indica the charges are something like this. For first 5 KM i is 100 RS and then for every KM it is 10 RS. But this was not the case when my wife got into the taxi. The meter read as 50 for first 5 KM however when she reached Korattur it reached 450 RS. When asked the driver he said that this meter is computer reading and it is perfect. I was trying the customer service during all these time. However I swear that they service sucks. They just kept me in hold whenever I dialed. Actually Tambaram to Korattur is 25 KM. SO if we calculate the amount should not cross 300 RS. But he took 150 RS extra. This is not a big amount for anyone. But the response from the driver as well as the customer service was so bad that I would suggest that nobody should hire this taxi.
