Inexperienced neurology doctors â Heartless money oriented hospital
BGS Global Hospitals- Kengeri- Uttarahalli- Bengaluru.(aka BGS Gleneagles Global Hospitals- Kengeri).
My nephew was admitted in BGS Global Hospital last year for brain tumor.
Dr. Venkatramana and his inexperienced junior doctors (Vikam, Amith) did the first surgery.
Dr. ... View More Venkatramana did not spend enough time during the first consultation .Immediately, he concluded that (within 10sec) surgery is must. He totally spend 30sec with us and didnât even answer our basic queries.
He didnât even talk to us after surgery. We tried to reach at least one doctor to explain discharge summary but no one was around. When nurse called junior doctor (vikarm) he didnât respond properly.
Dr. Venkatramana and other doctors acted as if they were busy always. We always got different response from their staff and junior doctors.
After surgery is done, the stitches were not done properly. We had to consult external doctor to remove the unwanted thread.
Post-surgery, when we asked how much tumor was removed, they answered, as much as they could. It was reported as low growth tumor in biopsy report and also they said, he will be fine after surgery, but within a month, he got worsened and had to perform second surgery. Donât know whether their biopsy report is trustworthy.
If surgery was not going to help, they would have told us not to do any surgery as it is not going to help anyway. At least, we would have avoided the side effects of surgery. They did the surgery for making money and gave pain along with tumor.
Junior doctors are always with neurology book. They donât know how to answer our queries. For example, after surgery is done, we asked a query like when the fluid in brain will get settle down, one junior doctor said, if you give me a needle I will do it right away by punching it. Got this irresponsible answer from him.
Some of the nursing staff are very rude. Management is very poor. They are money oriented and not service oriented. Food is not hygienic, we could found plastic, hair in their foods. The same food is given to patients.
Bottom line, my humble request: Never ever visit this hospital .They will open the doors to visit god of death.

My mom, in the first place should not have been operated upon. We were not talked about pulmonary embolism till her death.

God doesn't gurantee, but god doesn't charge lakhs of rupees like u do
If I don't gurantee good performance at my job, I will be punished for my imcompetence. Was Dr. Srikkanth punished for operating my mom without knowing the consequences and taking her life away in the process
Dr. Kaiser Raja . Can you answer this question.
My mom was in hospital for almost 2 weeks just for diagnosis. Why was it not told to us before
Also pulmonary team has put Rs. 500 bill every single day.
Why did not they try to prevent pulmonary embolism
And if you cant give guarantee, it shows your science is not complete.
Why should I come to bGS if its doctors cant provide guarantee.
I will go to an astrologer. If u don't provide guarantee, ur understanding is incomplete. This is it. Accept it
And one more thing why BGS Docs come up with reasons after reasons but still no results
If this was USA, bgs would have been bankrupt by the compensation it had to give for the surviving relatives

I have read the reviews of BGS Global Hospital on this website. Patients expect 100 percent results. Especially if they spend huge amounts of money. This is usually explained to patients at the time of taking consent for surgery. Pulmonary embolism is not entirely preventable. The other person who lost his grandmother also does not seem to understand the problem. It seems that the lady had not passed urine for more than a day and had some pain in her toe or foot. Old people develop serious neurological problems that need proper investigation. Despite investigations, the diseases that we detect may not be treatable. Cost is another issue and investigations are another issue. Tests are costly but this does not mean that important tests should not be done. Occasionally it seems that an excess amount is spent on old patients by their relatives only to find that the eventual outcome may still be bad. It is for people to decide whether they still want to spend or not. I am part of the Liver Transplant Team at BGS Global Hospital and I am proud to say that we run one of the best Advanced Liver Disease, Hepatobiliary Surgery and Liver Transplant Programs in our country. I am often asked a question about Liver Transplant. "We are spending such a lot of money on the Transplant Surgery. We want 100 percent guarantee that the surgery will be successful." This is a ridiculous question. Even GOD does not guarantee a complete 100 years to life to everybody. How can mortal humans give that guarantee. Another interesting remark by some patients' attendants. "Liver Transplant is so costly. It is better to get one daughter married off than get a transplant. What is the logic of this argument. They are willing to pay dowry for the daughter's wedding but not willing to spend on liver transplant to save one's life. When I was very direct to him, he told that âwhatever we do now will only prolong her terminalâ.. then why the hell did you do the tests? Why do you play with a patientâs emotion? I admitted my grandmother BGS considering the services done by Sri. BGS himself. I never thought that it is a profit making company.
I highly recommend you NOT to have your loved ones to be treated in this hospital and by highly inexperienced inhumane doctors.
Grand ma, I miss you! Sorry!
- your grand son

my true first hand experience regarding BGS hospital.
My mom complaining of stomach burn suspecting acidity in the stomach was taken to BGS by me. Dr. Ravindra BS(Gastro) diagnosed her with neuro Endocirne tumor of pancreas and referred to Dr. Srikanth G from the same hospital and as per Dr Srikanth(Gastro surgery director) advised me that surgery ... View More is a must and subsequently got my mom admitted for surgery. Post surgery, he told me it was not pancreatic cancer but duodenum tumor. After that my mom's bile juice output would continuously increase. The entire Gastro Surgical team came up repeatedly with plan A, plan B, plan c at the expense of the patient's emotions and cost and finally delivered a dead body to us on the date of discharge. Cause of death was massive pulmonary embolism. u only get reasons as to why this happenned. Doctors inspite of having long list of degrees against their names and charging high amount dont have the knowledge and expertise to deal with complicated patients (my mom was taking anti psychotic drugs and this was revealed to them before admission to hospital). My mom died in the hospital becoz the doctors could not prevent pulmonary Embolism which i read is a common threat to immobile patients (like during surgery). Please avoid BGS. when they handed me the dead body, I was given a bill of Rs. 5.8 lakhs)..
BGS is costly but they cant handle complications. they give you only medical reasons after reasons. All u get is a dead body and a bunch of medical reasons. Avoid BGS if you value your dear ones. It was the biggest mistake of my life to put my mom under the care of Dr. Srikanth. My mom would have survived for a few more years even if surgery was avoided. Dr. Ravindra, you should not have referred me to Dr. Srikanth. View Less

Even though the doc was there, we were told that the doc was not available after much wait and after bill payment. Though Operations dept person apologized and called us back later, the damage was done by one of the staff and a doctor in Neurology.

"BGS GLobal Hospital" - You want to get fleeced write under your nose ? Then this is the right hospital.
They do not tell you how much it could cost you to undergo a planned surgery. We were informed about rates about different rooms ( we did not come here on a holiday to stay in rooms ) .my father in law had to undergo a small liver surgery to re ... View Moremove some calculi build up. they informed us that it would cost us around 135000 /- a few hundreds or thousands here and there, after the operation they asked us to pay another 90000 (after already 100000 as advance before the operation ). when we enquired they said that 135000 was the just cost of the operation and such operations cost a minimum of 400000 lacs (which was not informed to us never before ), they asked us to pay the money immediately else medication to the patient could be stopped , we had to stay for 1 week after the surgery and by the time they discharged us we were billed (396000 and given a discount of Rs;4000 felt like it was tips given to me for getting a patient to them.)
The hospital boasts of state of art facilities, but they do not even have a basic pantry for patients in-charge inside the hospital( they have one pantry which is only for staff and doctors, patients and others have to rely on the pantry outside the facility which is pathetic , ( AT THIS HOSPITAL PATIENTS AND ALL ARE TREATED LIKE STRANGERS -DO WE NEED SUCH TREATMENT AFTER PAYING SO MUCH )
Some of the doctors are okay, you have some of the inexperienced doctors nurses who are practising on live patients. The billing department and the counselling department are the worst of the lot, where they confuse the patients blaming each other ( ask the doctor>the doctor asks us to ask the billing dept vice-versa. Etc
It could go on and on with their service provided, let me stop here.
