good place to have breakfast.I think this is where u get best Idli Vada Combination.Prices are very high though.
Onam Sadya 2012, Bangalore, Indiranagar at SouthIndies â Pathetic Experience.
Porotta, Appam, Dosa, Bhaji as starters, Ghee Rice, Icecream with strawberry, chocolate and butterscotch as flavours, are some of the dishes that Southindies caters for Onam Buffet (Yeah, its not a sadya, itâs a buffet).
And yeah, Onam sadya on plate , not leaf !!!!
That says it all !!! . What south indies calls as Onam Buffet 2012 is just a buffet of some south Indian dishes. Its no way a sadya, let alone the grand Onam sadya.
Been to south indies for onam sadya 2012 with colleagues today (28 August, 2012), and it had been a let down completely.
The South Indian Buffet is brilliant...They bring all items to the table..Me and my friend went here, had the buffet and there was not a single item in the buffet we cud say was less than awesome....It was the most amazing buffet we ever had...The price of 500 is a lil too much....but then it is better than having to eat crap at 300-350 like at other less expensive restaurants...
Southindies at Indranagar 100ft road is by far the best South Indian Restaurant i have been. I am well travelled and have been to many restaurants the quality of food at Southindies is excellent and why I love this place is because the food is very light and surprisingly it comes at affordable price tag. I was told there is a lovely breakfast buffet there during Saturday and Sunday i will definitely go there this weekend it has become one of my hang out joint.
Gr8 place to have south delicacies.... try the appams and vegetable stew, not to forget the elaneer payasam.... the ambience is also good... overall a good experience... I went twice in 6days (speaks volume of the place).... though I thought the price is on the higher side....

whew!! never thought i would end up paying 80 buks for a plate of appam, used to have it for 12 rs in a seaside shack, back in trivandrum, nd it tasted a million times better. nd i think south indies has to be the only south indian restaurant in the whole world where they don serve chutney with thier dosas, jeeez, sheer daylight robbery.
the very best of south comes with expensive bill :) Wallet factor : 250 - 500 / person
