Darpan Academy Of Performing Arts: The Darpana Academy of Performing Arts started off as a very small institution, but today it is one of the biggest performing schools in Ahmedabad. It was established in the year 1949 by Mrinalini and Vikram Sarabhai. The trained instructors teach folk, classical and contemporary dance. The center also teaches theater, puppetry and music. Here, the arts take center stage. One of the major plus points of Darpana Academy of Performing Arts is that it tries to get artists and art students from other countries. Students here are spolit for choice. You can learn Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, Carnatic music, Bhavai and even traditional puppetry.
