Vidyarthi Bhavan: Famous for its ghee dosas, rava vadas, and freshly brewed filter coffee. Vidyarthi Bhavan was recently renovated, and the results are obvious; more light, more air, better use of space, and a greater level of cleanliness. The caricatures of famous personalities still grace the walls, so eat piping hot jalebis with the likes of Kuvempu, Bendre, Karnad, and Gangubai Hangal, peering down at you. The dosas are a marvel; an arms length, crisp and dripping in ghee, served up with the most delicious chutney.
This is excellent for breakfast provided you have patience to wait till to get seat. All items are fabulous provided starting from khara bhat, masala dosa, rava idly.
The place isn't the same anymore, although their service is prompt. It gives a feel of old Bangalore, but the taste is missing. Sambar and maddur vada are still tasty and good. The concept of adorning the walls with eminent Kannadigas is great!
This is the best place to have authentic south indian food.Had ordered Idli Vada and Masala dosa which was great. The place is bit crowded but their ambience is great. Its better to visit this place on week days to avoid crowd.
Headed there on a cloudy Sunday evening. I had some trouble finding this place - drove past it 2 times - it is on the main road but slightly tucked in behind a large tree and flower vendors lined up on the street. Not much of a wait but the place was packed . Updated interiors redone the way it was - really tiny benches and small tables. There were limited items on the menu - four to be precise - Dosa- plain/masala, rava vada, kara bath and coffee - that's it !
Dosa were dripping with ghee - you might be surprised by the dark color of the dosa - but they are not burnt!. Both soft and crispy at the same time- great taste though.
For the calorie conscious run a few more miles on the treadmill to burn those extra calories - but try it fo ... మరిన్ని చూడండిr the taste.

This place is known for fat , ghee filled dosa's . but i somehow always prefer dosa's in central(CTR) malleshwaram which are crispy and buttery.. More Yummy :)
