This is regarding the awful experience during servicing of my vehicle (Maruti Esteem VXi BS III â DL 2C AG 4891).
I have given the vehicle for servicing on 1st June 2014 in the morning hours (09:17 AM) with primary need as AC was not working (cooling was not there). I have asked service advisor to test drive the vehicle to get any other problem (if any) in the vehicle so that it can also be rectified during the course of the servicing. And post taking the test drive I have given an estimate of 7200/- (to which I have specifically confirmed from the advisor that it would be on the higher side). Later in the afternoon hours I have received the call from the service advisor and it was suggested that vehicle requires complete overhauling ... మరిన్ని చూడండిof brakes (with cylinder, brake shoe etc., to be replaced) and estimate will be raised to 12000/-. To which I have given go ahead keeping trust on the advisor that this is something essential and required.
But it was completely to my surprise when I get to know that AC work has not carried out (that too on asking by myself only â â what was the problem in the ACâ during the course of briefing on the work performed on the vehicle) and still the billed amount is 14000/-.
I have following points to be made
- I hope you must understand that everyone has certain limited budget for any task and one priorities the need to be catered first as per the requirement and the scenario in place. My primarily need for servicing the vehicle was to get the AC problem rectified (which is not fulfilled) and nowhere was informed to me that they are not looking at it. If the service advisor can call me for the brake overhauling work then should have informed me about the AC work as well.
- Now I have been given further estimate of 4000 (AC work) + 9000 (clutch work). Now I have been feeling cheated as already the raised bill is 14000 with AC problem (my primary/focus work) still existing.
- After refusing to take the vehicle yesterday evening, till today there is no intimation whatsoever from your end on the status of my query and possible resolution to the scenario.

Very Bad experience from last two years. Today I took my vehicle for servicing at the subject workshop and was really disappointed. I got cheated for very small things such as replacement of the nuts and bolts which actually were not required to be replaced, charging for the bulbs which got defective while in the workshop ( god knows whether it really got defective or you just got fooled), putting 1 Ltr. of battery water in a 15 days old new battery. Old Battery also does not consume more than 1/2 ltr when totally dry, charging you labour charges for cleaning of parts already covered under servicing etc. The most astonishing was the fact that the drain plug of engine crank needs to replaced every time oil is changed. Reason given was the t ... మరిన్ని చూడండిhreads get spoiled. The oil is changed at the workshop every time during service and the said drain plug is not even touched in between the changing of the oils and even then the threads get spoiled.... Very Surprising and very absurd reason to the query.
And this happens with every vehicle. Imagine if engine oil of 25 vehicles is replaced every day it means 25 drain plugs are replaced on daily basis and if one drain plug is costing approx Rs.20 approx. cost of total drain plugs is Rs.500 per day, Rs.15000 in a month and 1 lakh 80 thousand in a year. Now since as per the policy you are not supposed to visit your vehicle on the shop floor you really do not know the parts that got replaced without your prior approval and which were in working condition when the vehicle was taken over by the supervisor were actually replaced or not especially the consumbles.
The Maruti Management must look into it seriously & urgently as it really is spoiling the brand name. Lot of complaints in regards to this particular workshop has been lodged with consumer forum also. తక్కువ వీక్షించండి
