Established in 1972 as a twin city of Bombay, Navi Mumbai (formerly known as New Bombay), is one of the biggest planned cities in the world. Extending from Thane in the North to Uran in the South, the structure and size of the city is similar to that of Mumbai. The most developed areas of this highly populated city are Vashi and Nerul, fondly known as the King and Queen of Navi Mumbai.
