New Movie Releases in Chennai this week

Kick start your weekend with the latest animated comic caper Rango directed by starring Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Alfred Molina and Bill Nighy. Rango (Johnny Depp), an ordinary chameleon, who lives as an ordinary family pet faces a major identity crisis as he accidentally winds up in the town of Dirt, a lawless outpost in the Wild West in desperate need of a new sheriff. Rango has a chance meeting with a desert iguana called, Beans (Isla Fisher), a rancher's daughter, who takes him to Dirt, an Old West town populated by desert animals. A series of events take place in Dirt and Rango comes to the rescue of its citizens and is soon declared the hero of the town.

You can take a watch at director Wes Craven's latest flick Scream 4, starring David Arquette, Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere. Scream 4 is an installment of the Scream series where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) returns to Woodsboro on the 15th anniversary of the first Woodsboro Murders for a tour of her new self-help book. She has an encounter with the former allies Sheriff Dewey Riley (David Arquette) and entertainment journalist Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox) along with a host of other familiar faces. However, with her return to Woodsboro also comes the return of past slasher-killer Ghostface who is on a run to kill people around. What remains to be seen is will  Ghostface be successful in his endeavour?

Tickle your funny bone with this desi flick Teen Thay Bhai starring Om Puri, Shreyas Talpade, Deepak Dobriyal, Ragini Khanna and Yograj Singh. Teen Thay Bhai is a story of three brothers Chixie (Om Puri), Happy (Deepak Dobriyal) and Fancy Singh (Shreyas Talpade) who are distanced by life. Their grandfather's will forces them to spend time together to inherit his wealth in an isolated bungalow in snow-clad Kashmir.

Tamil movie buffs can watch Ponner Sankar starring Prashanth Thyagarajan , Ponvannan, Jayaram, Prakash Raj and Manorama. Based on a historical novel written by M.Karunanidhi, Ponner Sankar revolves around two warrior brother's Ponner and Sankar. This film is a complete commercial potboiler with elements of drama, action and romance and is a perfect gift to audiences this festive season.
