Lal Bagh: Laid out in 1760 during the reign of Hyder Ali as a private garden, Lal Bagh Botanical Garden was eventually completed by his son, Tipu Sultan. Currently under the aegis of the Directorate of Horticulture, Government of Karnataka, Lal Bagh is modelled along the lines of the Mughal Gardens that was popular during Hyder Ali's time. The park houses rare species of plants brought all the way from Persia, Afghanistan and France. Lawns, flower beds, lotus pools, fountains and the like dot this aesthetically designed landscape. very nice place for hanging around with friends and family. Parking is an issue during holidays and long weekends. Nice temple nearby with scenic area.

Lal Bagh is the best park in bangalore........but nowadays area is been diminishing due to metro railway project...
It was very good place once upon a time but now it has become very dirty and couples are behaving in local manner
This time i had been visited to Lalbagh for an Flower Show on Jan 26th 2010. Here we can find different types of flowers in the botanical garden
