Yesterday was my first time that i had to visit an SBI branch as i needed a DD issued by them for my friend's college use. The lady who was sitting at counter no 4 was so ill mannered and so rude that i was feeling like i have committed a crime by going there. I wonder how does the people who have an account is SBI tolerate such stupid bank employees. It seems the staff at SE 2 is not there to do the regular stuff but they are there to insult people and gauge their patience.
Whatever you do, don't go to the fat lady who sits on the counter. She is the single most demeaning, horrible, impolite and inconsiderate bank employee i have come across. I try to avoid the bank as much as i can. If it was not for SBI, I don't think she would have got a job in any other bank in the world. I think the employees of SBI are not that much into politeness and customer service. Why should they? They have enough money. But we really have no choice. I really contemplated filing a consumer case against her once. Funnily and rather obnoxiously, she expects us to have crisp notes when depositing money. Is it always possible to have crisp notes? She won't even accept currency notes which are a little old.
