An ex-student of CPS, ISC Batch 2012-2013.The school had a good infrastructure, good labs and some teachers really take the pain to explain everything especially the History, Geography, English, Maths and Bengali teachers. When I got the admission in CPS, Kalikapur i.e. in standard 5, the building might not be so impressive but the faculty was. Each and every faculty was beyond any praise. But now since it has made good reputations its quality is degrading day by day. There is lot of illegal things happening inside this institution nowadays. But unfortunately the physics faulty of ISC is not good. She comes and gives a lot of notes (which are already in the books) without going into any deep explanation. She doesn't go in a systematic manner. If you rely upon only her you are sure to fail in ISC. You have to take private tuition. She is a little bit partial about the students too. The computer faculty was unaware of the ISC syllabus and as a result the students who don’t take private tuition for computer had to face grave problem. I was the victim of such an incident. Besides, she didn't even know that much of JAVA which is required to taught a student. Atleast we were glad that she could make a standard question paper by taking the help of some guide book. Beside, there is some belief of the principal which I think is not correct. For instance, in children day the teachers take the money from the students and with that they give the treat. Again on teachers day the students had to spend the money. Is it the way you should spend the Children Day?? Moreover, the Principal as a person is really good and can go to any extent to improve quality of the institution but somehow she doesn't get the true picture of the happenings around her. She only gets a sugar-coated picture and no student dares to tell her his/her problem that he/she is facing and this is pretty evident from the fact: the teacher whom she chose to be the student-coordinator is not fit for that position. She doesn't even have 1% idea of how to treat the students properly.
