I am putting my comments again and again because I want to share my painful experience with Surana Hospital Malad. I do not want to see anybody else's mother, sister or father suffering. Please take my advice.
On the first day of the visit to the hospital, I was very happy when I saw that some1 has built Surana hospital in the memory of their parents. I was under the impression that my mother was in a good hospital. but after 11 days of wait and agony I realised that they were just making money out of us. After 11 days of being admitted, doctor says why dont u take her to some better hospital. The ward boys and other staff made so much noise in ICU & MICU that we had to ask them to keep quiet as the patients were sleeping. Its a pathetic hospital. My mother was admitted in Surana Hospital, Orlem, Malad West, Mumbai on 14/07/2012 for a kidney problem. Today on the 24/07/12 doctors say "We don not have enough facilities compared to hospitals like Nanavati so please move her if you want". After 11 days there was 0% improvement. The bill is almost Rs 2 lac. I do not have any mediclaim for my mom. We had to break our FD which was all our savings. Money doesnt hurt too much as it can be earned again but my mother wasnt cured a percent after 11 days. Its a shame that Hospitals are doing this. We rate doctors after God but Doctors are no different than the corrupt officials. When asked why is there no improvement in her condition, they respond that we are doing our best, we are doing dialysis but the medicines are not working. Medicines worth 10-15000 per days are not working. Its seriously a shame when a common man has to face all this. I would strong recommend never to take any of your relatives and family members to Surana Hospital. They will take all the money from you and then say "Its better you move to a better hospital".
