I had today bought a TOPS for my daughter costing Rs.1445/- (NO discounts ???) at Diva Anna Nagar shop. The payment was masde by credit card and the bill was given in the form of a Thermal paper print out. As these thermal papers receipts/invoices disappear in 3-5 days time, I requested for a hand bill/Manual Bill so that the same can be preserved for a longer time (even for accounting purposes). But alas, the Manager of the shop denied me. He further said that only in case of computer not working they will issue manual bills. I requested that the manual bill may be issued in lieu of the thermal paper receipt/invoice. No success. I was baffled at the attitude of the manager. Hence I had to leave the shop with a promise to meet the owner/MD of the shop tomorrow. Let us see what happens tomorrow. When customer manual receipt with due reasoning, it has to be highlighted.
