Ivy is one of the worse hospitals I have ever seen. It's very commercial, just wait for the patients to enter hospital so that they can make money. My mother visited gastroenterologist at ivy mohali with complaint of loose motions and vomiting. And the doctor admitted her though it was a simple case of stomach infection. They did ultrasound, all blood tests, liver function tests, urine tests and all the reports were normal. The doctors were so rude and inhuman. I wouldn't suggest anyone to visit this hospital if you love your dear ones. My mother was passing frequent urine at night when she was admitted and therefore was unable to sleep. She asked dr. Vikas Aneja, supposed to be RMO to help her with some medicine so that urination stops and she could sleep for a while. Instead of helping, he was so rude and inhuman. He said that she has been admitted for stomach problem and he is not responsible for her urination and sleep problem. He snubbed her and went back. Next day, the attending doctor, dr.vipul was supposed to do endoscopy for her at 10 am. Though we found this time late as my mother is a diabetic patient and this procedure has to be performed empty stomach. Endoscopy is just a 5 min job....I was lil surprised why the dr is giving such a late time. Anyway, we kept quite. At 10, we asked the dr for endoscopy and he said he will do at 12 noon. My brother told him that the patient is diabetic, it's difficult for patient to be without food for so long. And what this doctor responded was beyond our imagination. He said this is hospital, not your home. He will do whenever he will have time. Now this was heights of such a callous attitude from doctors who are supposed to be one of the most compassionate human beings. We immediately got our mother discharged from the hospital. This was such a horrifying experience we had at Ivy, Mohali.
