Madam, we have learnt a lot through news media about you and your involvement in pioneering various educational schemes directly or as a partner with various NGOs by providing Financial Assistance to economically backward//physically handicap more particularly blind students.
"VIDYA VIKASA" started as early as JUNE 1977. His Excellency the then Governor of Karnataka Sri.A.N.Banerji vide Letter DT: 3rd August 1984 had blessed the Institution . . On 6th JANUARY 2002, the KENDRA celebrated SILVER JUBLEE YEAR & The alumni who met during the celebrations REGISTERED"VIDYA VIKASA" AS A public charitable TRUST â A NON-C0MMERCIALISED EDUCATIONAL CENTRE & WITH THE Approval by the INCOME TAX DEPT. Govt. of. India u/s 12 A (a) of Income Tax Act 1961.
Madam, While visually impaired Student will complete his / her education with Donor's Financial Assistance, the Donor in India gets Income-Tax exemptions benefits under 80(G) of Income-Tax Act 1961 The Interest realized is being utilised for ECONOMICALLY BACKWARD MERITORIOUS BLIND STUDENTS by providing financial Assistance in addition to (a) Tape Recorders, (b) Detecting Walking Sticks,
Trust formulated a Project/scheme under the Title "Literacy Mission for Blind & awareness of Educational Support". Under this scheme Trust will take care of the services of Blind Student by providing Scholarships / financial Assistance , Tape Reorders, Brail watches, Brail literature in the form of cassettes, computers, food to needy, medicines, kits, uniforms and other social welfare activities for the visually impaired students. The Trust has started to award SCHOLARSHIPS to BLIND STUDENTS from 2004 & So far the Trust has awarded 141 visually impaired Students of both Rural Urban areas. In the past 4 years from 2004-05 the scholarship benefit was utilised by the Visually impaired students from (1) Shree Raman Maharishi Academy for The Blind (2) The National Association For The Blind, Karnataka Branch (3) Samarthan Trust for the Disabled (4) Sri Rakum School for the blind,(5)Karnataka Asson., for Blind. The details how Blind Students are benefited so far from the Trust are as follows:

This centre is not merely conducting classes to general students, but also (1) Providing examination fee & study materials to poor school students (2) conducting Study circle on Various Subjects by inviting Professors from INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE, BANGALORE (3) The centre has conducted Eye camp in co-ordination with the LION'S CLUB B'lore.(4) Is conducting Hindi Classes Up to the level of Visharadha Recognized by THE D.B,H.P.S., 5)our previous Students who have become Doctors now, are conducting health camp to all students & public.
The Trust is having a Regular audit by a Chartered Accountant to keep the ACCOUNTS TRANSPARENT

To enable Indian donors to VVT to claim tax credit in India, VVT is also registered under the section 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961.The 80G Tax number is 01/04/2007 to 31/03/2010 is basically striving hard for a commitment to the cause of the education of the economically weaker sections of students' community particularly for Blind Students Education by Providing Financial Assistance in various Forms with the help of Public Donations.

In order to spread literacy every year from 1974 Vidya Vikasa Trust has created a Blind Students Scholarship Fund A/c from the coaching Normal Students 150 to 175 charging lowest Tuition fee & the Financial Assistance given by the philanthropists, social activists and organisations .
The Interest realized is being utilised for ECONOMICALLY BACKWARD MERITORIOUS BLIND STUDENTS by providing financial Assistance in addition to (a) Tape Recorders, (b) Detecting Walking Sticks,

Sir ,as per the medical bulletin released in T.V., by 2010 the visually impaired number will move up to 24 millions. The visually impaired students to whom trust is identifying, supporting & distributing scholarships, belongs to high merit group in education but majority of them are economically backward. Their parents are living in remote areas of a village depending on agriculture with some land .owners. Their income is not even sufficient to meet their livelihood & giving education to their children in the excising conditions has become a dream.
Sir, the pressure created by the section of Blind Students who desires to seek more financial assistance from the Trust & encouraged by the Public Response, Trust formulated a Project/scheme under the Title "Literacy Mission for Blind & awareness of Educational Support".
Under this scheme Trust will take care of the services of Blind Student by providing Scholarships / financial Assistance , Tape Reorders, Brail watches, Brail literature in the form of cassettes, computers, food to needy, medicines, kits, uniforms and other social welfare activities for the visually impaired students.
The Trust has started to award SCHOLARSHIPS to BLIND STUDENTS not only during 2004-2005 but also during 2005-2006 & 2006-07,2007-08. So far the Trust has awarded 96 visually impaired Students of both Rural Urban areas.
Sir, [1] We have also declared with all sincerity that funds obtained from donors are being utilized only for Blind student's activity 100%. [2]The Trust is having account in nationalized Bank only [3]Trust is having PAN and the accounts returns are sent to Income Tax Dept.,regularly. [4] Accounts are kept in Transparent Condition and is audited by (a) Internal Audit (b) Statutory Audit. [5] We have also created website so that donor will have complete picture of our Activities in this part of the world.
