This place sucks big time. The food service and ambience is bad. You can feel the kitchen heat the the smoke from the kitchen hits you on the face. As far as the staff goes, they are totally disorganized and its choatic. I guess Cavin kare - who ever this is has no clue about running a eating joint.. should give up this idea

I was here a couple of months back.. the ambience is surely a great plus..something like this near the beach is very rare to find in Chennai. As for as the food, I pretty much liked it, I guess this is the closest you can get to authentic italian taste given the local availability of raw material. Yes the place is quite pricy though...

Flamingo

I had been to Flamingo last week, this I did in spite of my friends warning me from going there. First of all the ambience is pretty ordinary, that is something you can pass till you hear about the rest of the story. The upholstry on the furniture is visibily dirty, stinks and you try to sit on it you sink in. And then the service, for about 20 min, there was no one meet you at the table and lay out the plates and cutlery, let alone anyone to take the order. Finally did manage to get the starter ordered which took another 30 mins to arrive, and during the 30 mins again there are no one to take the main course order. I went up to the manager and asked him about the quality of service, and he just had to say that these kind of delays are normal, was taken aback with that. I should have learnt my lesson and left after the starter, but something told me things cant be so bad.. but then my instincts were proven wrong. The "somehow manged to order" food did arrive and let alone the taste, the dish was spiked with some much of chilly, that it took me 2 days and a lot of butter milk to recover.. Oh I dnt mention about the cutlery, it did arrive when we were about the finish...and the place does not provide finger bowls, you are forced to get into a wash room which is best left undescribed.. a tormented client of Flamingo, with a vow not the go there again. Just venting out my disappointment here.
