I am a Goan & have been abroad now for a few years now. On my recent visit to Goa in November 2010 I visited both the Big G stores in Panaji & Margao. Was extremely dissapointed with the sales staff at their Panaji mall. I visited the childrens section & asked the lady for baby clothes with straps. She seemed confused & then later pulls out a baby blanket. I repeated myself saying I wanted baby dresses with straps, no sleeves!!! She still kept showing me the baby blanket. OMG.....she didnt understand English nor the local language. Left the kids section & visited the mens sections looking for a tshirt for my husband. The mens section was impressive but some of the brands were not stacked as per size & the sales guy had to dig through a stack of tshirts inorder to find a Medium size. To my dismay there were very few in this size. I asked the sales guy if there were anymore & he rudely replies to me in Hindi saying Madam you do not like the tshirts I am showing you and thats all we have. Thats not the way one talks to customers. He could have been more polite. On the other hand the Margao mall is much better & well organised. Had no problems there.
