We were a pack of 8 and wanted to enjoy a nice evening together at some restaurant where they would have a TV as well [The finals of french open tennis tournament was happening]. Anyways, after lots of conflicting thoughts, everyone agreed with mangalorean style food... And I suggested Kubay's [as i have been there before.. many years ago].. Went there at 8.45pm and we were asked to wait for 15 minutes even though there were tables free, where they could have accommodated 10. The manger came up with some lame excuses, which did not convince me. Anyways, the TV there was playing some old age cricket on Star Cricket and I checked with one of the waiters there, if he could change it to Start Sports. He smiled and walked towards the kitchen, and my assumption was that he was going to get the remote. Was getting a lil' bugged standing there, i saw that the set-top box was rite next to the TV and was at a reachable height. Checked around, to see if anyone was watching that crap on TV, and when i made sure that everything is cool, i started changing the channel.... To my surprise, I heard a yelling from behind - 'Stop Changing anything on that'... Turned back to find out that it was the creepy manager. I told him that i want to watch start sports and even before i could complete, he yelled again, 'Dont need. Dont change the channel. And dont touch it.'. Every eye in the restaurant was at us.... I asked him whats the big deal, and told 'dont touch that. I said, dont touch and you should not touch'. Seriously got pissed off... I just said, fine.... Wanted to call everyone and walk off..... And there were foul words on the tip of my tongue... With a lot of ladies around, just contained myself. That manager thinks, he's the only one in Bangalore who has a settop box.... His attitude and that way he talked, mentally i sapt on his face... My friends said, lets go from here. Well, I hate to say this - I will never step foot to Kubay's ever again..... As long as that manger is there, he's gone loose business and I hope the management is listening. None of my friends will ever step in there..... Such a miserable freak, that guy is!
