The main idea of ultrasound scan is to detect any problems with the baby during pregnancy. Dr. Preethi Venkatesh of Medha Ultrasound, who did the ultrasound scan for me, FAILED to inform that there was a problem with our baby. They are very clever in mentioning that not all anomalies can be detected by the scan. When we went for the scan, she used to mention different things..one day she said that there may be a problem with the brain, and asked us to come several times after that..We went many times..Couple of times she said that there is no problem..the earlier scan was not clear ..that is the reason they had doubts and things like that..We were really confused if we had to continue the pregnancy. We asked this question directly to her. She said that there is no issue and everything is fine. Our gynacologist was Dr.Jaya Bhat. We discussed this with Dr.Jaya Bhat also..She was very angry because we were asking such questions, whether we can continue with the baby or not..We were worried about the brain development..But both of them gave us high hopes and said that everything was perfectly fine..We beleived them. I trusted both of them like God..and the outcome..I have no words to explain..Tears are rolling down my eyes as I write this feedback..My daughter was born with a rare developmental disorder of the brain...We came to know the confirmed fact after the MRI was done in Manipal hospital...And just a "sorry" from both of them..I strongly feel that both of them have done this for the sake of experimenting..They want to learn more, how the MRI will be, how the baby will be, just experimenting..Not understanding that we are crying for our lifetime....
After a month or so, Dr.Preethi called my husband and asked him to come to the clinic with the MRI report. We had hopes that she was trying to help us in some way..But know what? She was preparing for a conference and wanted our daughters MRI report to be included in the presentation..That is the height of cruelty..
