The worst hospital (or rather nursing home) to give birth to. I had such a bad experience there that i dread to have another child now. The nursing home follows such age old practices, where medical science has reached new heights. I had a C section operation here. There ar hospitals that discharge u in 3 days after c section whereas i had suffer in this hospital for 10 days and ofcourse they charged a bomb close to 1L. I had my 1st shock when i saw the operation theatre and the untidy sheets on the table. Thankfully the operation went smooth and quick. The hospital boasts about NICU, in actual wat they have is a couple of rusty iron stands which is covered in dust where they keep the baby for the blue light/warmth. they keep this stand in their general ward amidst of all people/visitors. The baby was brought staright to the room and kept under a 100w bulb. the rubber sheets used were stained. For any activity related to the baby, the nurses used to call out to the 'mausis', the same set of people who broom, mops and cleans toilet there. My nightmare started after I was brought to the room. The room was not cleaned since the last patient. My folks had to chase the 'mausis' for 3 days to get the bathroom cleaned and atlast my mother had to do it herself. ofcourse i didnt ve to use the bathroom for 3 days, since i was only on IV for 3 full days and had a urinery tube for 5 days. i had been complaining to the doc about the catedral, but she was not ready to remove it. I finally ended up having a urinery infection which lasted for a month and had dual courses of antibioitics to get over it. the feeding was not started even after 3 days of the delivery. the doc was least intrested in all these. she hardly made any visits. the head nurse finally found som time after 3 days to start feeding, then i was taken over by the mausis. my child was on lactogen till tht time. the night nurses were so lazy tht they used to stuff the kid with lactogen tht the child doesnt get up too often. this resulted in a lot of throwing up. these are a few experiences i had there, thought of sharing it.
