It is said first impression is the best impression. In your case, first impression was not the best, to put it mildly. Reason: You were supposed to ready the stage for a 6 o clock function. Sadly, the stage was not readied until past the scheduled time. As a host, I had to cut a sorry figure to hear guests commenting on the obvious. This is nothing short of being irresponsible, unprofessional, indifferent and regrettable. Moreover, there was no apology from the person in-charge.
