Wonderful! Wonderful Wonderful. Well, I did not look into the reviews before I walked into the Reliance Digital store at Mogappair. Ofcourse from the manager to the all the staff I would know there because I walked into that store several times and purchased a lot of things during my visit to India this time. I think the next door guy JD Electronics is better than these guys. I purchased a SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR last time from JD Electronics, and they were prompt in delivering and also they had a Samsung service tech arrive and check it. But these guys having such a big showroom and thinking that they would provide a great service to customers. To my nightmare it was all just the hoopla in the beginning, oh yes sir we will do this, we will do that, take extended warranty and we will cover everything. Nice sales talk and the RESQ guys who come there to fix it are told to sell somethings so they can get commission. This is the typical India that has not changed for the last 100 years. No wonder Ambani brothers are swindling money in India and building houses like LIC Buildings. This is not only with Reliance, this is with Airtel, with Aircel and you name it, any company in India is nothing but fraudaulent. The service is poor, they have no idea what customer service is. Instead of doing back office jobs and taking jobs from USA, why not figure out how to provide a good service to customers in India. I think that would be a good start. Coming back to my wonderful Reliance Digital Experience. Here is what happened. I purchased a LG LED TV, LG Music System, Whirpool Washing Machine and also Panasonic Airconditioner at this store including a Micromax Smart phone for 10grand. My total purchase at this store was almost 1.5 lakhs worth of stuff. These guys promised me all kinds of things, delivery, fixing and all the nightmares. Coming to the point the guys who came to fix the TV, sold me a Belkin Surge 6 socket protector for Rs3500 where it costs only Rs 1900 and for the 8 socket it costs around 2600 to 2900 rupees. It should be less also anywhere else but at least this is the approximate cost of this. I paid Rs 3500. They told me sir, you wont have a problem. Within two weeks, there was a surge in my house and it did not turn back on. I contacted them and I was told that I need to take it to Belkin. I asked them why should I take it to Belkin? They told me that, they will be the one who will service it. I told them that I bought it from them and not from Belkin and it was their responsibilty to fix it. This was assured that my TV, Music System and other accesssories connected to this would be protected. Unfortunately, it blew up and I was lucky that nothing happened to my TV and also my Music system. So, I call the guy who sold it to me since I could not find the bill and he picked up the phone and he asked me to send me the address in SMS so he could stop by and see what was going on. Unfortunately, that guy never responded back and I went to Reliance Digital showroom and explained to them and they called from there and I spoke to him, and he said he was somewhere else and he will be there at 7pm. I told him I am leaving to the airport and I am going out, and he asked me when was I coming back. I am coming to the US and he wants to come and fix this after I come the next trip, which must have been his idea. So, I waited for this guy as I told him that I will be waiting for him, and he shuts his phone off when I call him at around 7:30pm. What a wonderful fucked up country ours is. No wonder not one foreigners respect us. Great Customer Service, Great way that India is heading to the 22nd Century. Good luck. Even if I want to come back and settle I do not want to because seeing all this crap. Same problem with the phone that I purchased from these guys. I thought that these guys would be reliable as the name suggests RELIANCE. Unfortunately it is all BS and they are also a bunch of rogues and crooks.
