Being foodies, my family and I like to explore new restaurants every time that we decide to go out for food. Last weekend it was Rajdhani Thali that we decided to visit. Since the eatery boasted of genuine Gujrati and Marwari dishes, we were curious to know whether it was true or just a tall claim. What pleasantly surprised us what the fact that before the food arrived, we were given water to wash our hands just as we do before eating at home! Next that followed was any foodiez dreams come true! The huge thali was loaded with lip smacking preparations straight out of a Rajasthani kitchen! There was a huge spread of samosas, kachoris to pick from. Just when I thought that we would just fill our stomachs with the plump kachoris, the main fare was served one by one by the waiters dressed in traditional clothes. This consisted of the famous dal bati churma, meethi dal, kadhi, and many other delicacies. I tasted a little from everything and found it difficult to choose because they were all so good. The accompaniments of pickles made from fruits from Rajasthan were to die for. The dessert spread of hot juicy gulab jamuns, jalebis and rabdi malpua left me and everyone asking for more. We washed all this down with cool buttermilk and returning burping with satisfaction!
