Rajdhani Thali, the eatery, is a favorite of everyone since long and I got to experience why that is so when I went there. It is a place that believes in quality service without any gimmicks. I was very warmly ushered in by the staff and led to a spacious and comfortable seat in the dining area. I had heard so many rave reviews about their thali, I wondered what would be served in it. To my delight what came in front of me was a huge thali filled to the fullest with all sorts of delicacies. There was a lot to choose from. There were several preparations of fried and curried vegetables. The rice too was delicious right from the savory to the sweet. The accompaniments in the form of papads and pickles and salads too were varied and equally finger-licking.
I was told that all the preparations had local ingredients from Rajasthan and Gujarat, consisting of their dried fruits and condiments as well as lentils. I was also very happy with the presentation. It was impeccable and elegant. I liked the portions served too; they were well-sized and generous. The attendants constantly kept a check on my requirements, cajoling me to have more helpings if I wanted. I will definitely vouch for Rajdhani Thali to be the best traditional eatery in town!
