Guys! BEWARE OF THESE CHEATERS!! I'll tell my story in short. I had a Dell Studio 1558 model. 4 years old was running perfectly. One fine day its screen went blank. Chances of dead motherboard, Dell people said they don't manufacture the model anymore. Worse mistake ever in my life - I took it to phonecare. Charged me 6,000 and replaced the screen. I don't know what they did but the laptop started rejecting the original battery. Started using the laptop without the battery. After 4-5 days later keyboard developed some glitch, even the mouse pad started acting weired. I took the laptop to phonecare goregoan, all the way from panvel beacuase I saw how they delivered my laptop 1st time - in a plastic bag!!! if its a vegetable or something.
Met a lunatic called Mahesh. Said its a keyboard problem we'll replace it for 1500. I agreed, also orderd for the battery costing 2500. Got it after 2 weeks or more. I went to pick it up. Laptop worked for another 10 days, then the screen went blank as before. Took it to phonecare again. They din't let me meet their engineer, i wonder if they have any engineer. I shouted and finally a lady - the so called engineer appeared and said "Aapka video chip kharab hogaya, replace karenge toh teek ho jaega". Now these @#$# wanted to replace my whole laptop in installments it seems. I had ATI HD5470. Finally, i agreed and said " Ye b replace kar do". Got it after 3 weeks. Charged 3500 for the video chip. One thing i fogot to mention, I think these people eat "screws" because every single time screws went missing from my laptop.
I thought its all over. Laptop worked for a month and the same problem - blank screen. I had become mentally unstable after these phone care visits. So again took it to phonecare. And the story continues.. am tired of typing.
Conclusion: I''ll buy a new laptop next week.
By the way.. all these Therese, Susan, Marget who commented excellent, awsome etc. You guys should have added "From Phonecare" Idiots!
