Horrible service and horrible people! Had a nightmarish experience with these people only yesterday. 2-3 weeks ago, they picked up our hard drive to send us a report and costing. The costing was ridiculously high and not worth the data we had on the hard drive, so we said we wouldn't like to go ahead with the data recovery. Then they refused to send the hard drive back. We said we'll pay delivery charges if needed, because we live 2 hours away from this lamington road office. But they just refused. We requested to atleast send it to their workshop in Bandra and we'll pick it up from there, but they just wouldn't agree. Finally, 2 weeks later, we managed to find the time to go all the way to their outlet. Before going there, we tried to call them several times, both the previous day and the same day, but nobody would answer. When we got to Lamington road, it took us 30 min to locate the place because it is in some obscure dingy building that is part motel, and reeks of toilet, and they just weren't answering their phone to help us with any directions. Finally we arrive and ask for our hard drive, to which they say - we wont give it to you because you don't have our challan. We said we have the reference number, all your emails and smses sent to our email addresses and mobile number, and our photo id to prove it is indeed our hard drive. But they kept blatantly refusing to give it to us. We kept trying to make them understand that the concept of a receipt that the reference number can be used to identify the product in their records - and we are giving them everything they need for the identification, but they were too illiterate to understand. We also tried to explain to them, that receipts are required IF services are done, to check if the due payment has been made, but in this case they had done NO services and we just wanted our own hard drive back. Then suddenly they start saying - you have to pay Rs.100 because you didn't get our challan. Why should we be forced into paying any amount of money to get our own hard drive back! And the worst part of it all was how rude both the people we were dealing with were (one was the receptionist and the other some guy) - one of them started telling me to shut up! And the woman sitting in the director's cabin didn't have the courtesy to talk to us despite us repeatedly and very courteously requesting her to. She actually locked the door of her cabin, what a coward! And that guy talking rudely to us, almost pushed my friend when he tried to knock on the door. While we were going through all this, another customer of theirs came in, who had given them 2 mother boards for repair. The poor guy kept saying 'atleast give me a reply about when I'll get them back' and they literally ignored him the whole time. Exasperated, we gave them Rs.100, after which it literally took them 30 min to find our hard drive in their cupboard! On top of that, they were forcing us to write a note in a random notebook saying 'we forgot to bring the receipt so we are paying a fine'! I took my phone out and told them to do whatever they are doing on video if they don't think it is wrong. They seemed to have a big problem with me video recording their behaviour, and the guy's answer was to start taking photos of me. I could hear him whatsapping them to someone.(Firstly, they had a cctv camera right in front of us so he didn't need to take our photos on his personal camera, leave alone whatsapp it. As a girl, it makes me feel extremely uncomfortable) We had to fight to get a payment receipt for the money we paid, after which they gave us a 'kachcha bill', which didn't even have their company's name on it. Clearly, even they knew what they were doing was wrong. We argued and insisted, and finally got a receipt on their letterhead. Looking at our experience and other reviews, they have been treating people this way for quite some time now. Please steer clear of these rude, illiterate scamsters.
