I have been shopping with Malabar Gold for around 8 years now...earlier in bangalore and now in Hyderabad and the experience has always been wonderful. Keeping that in mind I went to the kukkatpally showroom today for Dhanteras to buy some gold jewellery and silver items. As expected the queue was long and lot of rush. What was not expected was the behavior of the staff...they made me wait for more than an hour and then started showing jewellery to people who came after me...when I protested they yelled at me waving his hand in front of my face almost in a gesture to slap me...yes that was the gesture he made. I some how choose one small ear ring and baby finger ring and one silver diya...the weight was taken, the bill made. Finally when I went to pay the bill the salesman came back and told me we cannot sell the ear ring to you as we have lost the weight tag !!!! No offer was made to replace, to try and retrieve the tag...how was the tag lost in 10 minutes between me buying the jewellery and going to billing counter...no one could answer.... I spoke to the store manager where one other sales man warned me to keep my voice low and get out of the store else he would raise his voice!!!! The store manager said he would take care of it and left....never to come back.....I waited for another 15-20 minutes no one came back and finally left the store. I go to your store for the brand name....so you should choose sales men according to your standards and not some goons who are rude and insult customers I will have to think many times before I am able to walk into any of your shops going forward...and of course will spread my feedback specially on the kukkatpally branch in friends,social media and consumer forum
