cheats and great salesman who rip you off!!
We were cheated into believing at New Delhi railway station by 2 different mid aged well dressed kind man that the reservation office had moved! We went outside to take a tuktuk and were kindly approached by a man who "helped " us to go to Counnaught Cirsus tourist info. We where whisked into an office with a big sign : government licensed and assumed it was the government tourist office. We came in the office to book a railway ticket but were sold a3 week trip through Rajasthan and Kashmir. Obviously we were stupid!. Probably still under influence from jet leg, but this was one big setup involving 4 people to con us and cheating us out of our money.
All but one hotel were disappointing and we were charged far more than the official rate in the hotel while Centre Tour and Travel get their commission on the hotel room from the hotel as well. But going to Kashmir was the most ridiculous decision, hoping to go trekking we were first offered an outrageous price by the houseboat manager. The tourist office in Srinagar told us that we were to late in the season and the price we were given was way to high.
I think the government license of Centre Tours and Travel should be taken away as they are only out to rip people off!
