FALSE ADVERTISING AND HARRASSMENT
Horrible horrible service. Here are some of my experiences:
1. 2 floors of male salesmen selling women's clothes in an over-friendly and borderline intrusive manner. It started with the salesmen being overly friendly to the extent it seemed like they were trying to flirt and it made me feel unsafe feeling especially when the shop is filled with men who seem to be snickering among themselves and acting like teenage boys who have never interacted with the species of the opposite gender.
2. A so called "patiala" suit was practically thrust upon me and a tailor was summoned to take measurements to alter the suit. While this was happening they tried to sell me a second "paitala" suit worth 3 times the money without any respect for my opinion when I initially rejected it.
3. When I went to the shop to collect he altered "patiala" suit. My mother suggested I try it on, the salesmen very confidently interrupted that it will fit me perfectly and there was no need to try it on in the shop. Being pressed for time, we collected the suit and left.
4. When I tried to wear the "patiala" suit - I didnt fit into the top and he bottom had been changed into a regular salwar - it was no more a patiala. Rs. 300 - gone into the sewers.
5. We went back to the shop to request either a refund or re-stitch the salwar to make a patiala - the manager refused to refund the money and called the tailor who then placed blame on us saying this is how we wanted the suit altered.
6. The suit was bought with the intention of being worn as a patiala however it was no longer one.
7. The salesmen all became aggressive and unco-operative to the extent it seemed like they were ready to hit us.
8. They frustrated us the a point where we returned the dress and left the shop without even expecting a refund.
PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THIS SHOP AND THE SALESMEN DEFINITELY NEED TO BE BLACKLISTED - THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO RESPECT WOMEN - THEY MAKE YOUNG MODERN WOMEN INCREDIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE.
