JUICE horribly botched a routine colour job, overbleaching my hair so clumps of it were burnt off. This was a result of extreme incompetence, neglicence and inpetness, full details follow. They charged Rs7000 for this, and refused a refund, even after the Juice head office intervened. Please be aware that this Juice is a franchise, which appears to have none of the professional or customer service standards you would expect from a reputed salon like Juice. I went in for a routine colour job before at what I thought was a reputed, professional salon. Instead, my hair has had lasting damage, my colour is appalling, my wonderful haircut ruined. My very legitimate concerns at having clumps of hair fried off and a whole lot more bleached to straw like colour and consistency, carelessly dismissed. I have still not had the courtesy of an apology from the original stylist who caused the problem, just excuses, and have had to drag one out of the chief stylist and owner, Sailesh. From Sailesh, the head stylist and owner, I initially got no apology or acknowledgment of a mistake, just the remark that 'its just a little bit of hair', when I showed him the fried bit. Seriously. Like its pretty normal during colouring a job to get entire clumps of hair melted off! He also tried to blame me and my peculiar hair (its been straightened, at Juice itself, a fact that they were well-aware of and that a responsible or even competent stylist would have taken into account). At no point was I warned about the horrendous damage that could ensure through re-bleaching, stripping and re-colouring hair all within the space of a few hours, which any responsible stylist would do. Because of the over-bleaching, the non-melted bits of hair were like straw, with severely distressed ends, ruining my wonderful, expensive haircut. Over-bleached hair does not take color, so instead of the dark purple I chose, the hair was an ugly faded pink. They charged me Rs7000 for this! (Because they had carefully hidden the damage while blow-drying and styling, I did not notice the burnt bits till the next day. I also realized that they had botched the bleach job after talking to other hair experts, friends who routinely get colorings, and extensive internet research).
