I found out from my personal experience as well as from my friends' that just the rude behavior of the folks who run these shops towards the kids has ensured that most of us don't visit them again. Although their prices are better than the shiny Indiranagar stores but I will be more comfortable taking my son to a shop where he can enjoy himself and eventually pick up something with satisfaction even if I have to pay 10% more money.
