The Near East: Expect inventive oriental cuisine in the chic interiors without the usual red lanterns and dragons at The Near East. If you live around Priya Complex, this restaurant needs no introduction. If you dont, do make a trip there. While seafood and meat lovers can gorge on Butter Chilli Garlic Prawns and Pan-fried Chicken with Kaffir Lime and Sweet Lemon Sauce, vegetarian delights include Thai Papaya Salad, Vegetable Ginger and Wine Soup and Stir Fried Zucchini. The Express Lunch is good value for money.

A nice ambiance, and a quiet environment characterize this cozy li'l place. I've tried a lot of vegetarian fare here and in particular it does cater more to the veg palate than a number of places which always succeed in giving the veggies a raw deal, quite literally! Though the mocktail (something forgettable with blue Curacao) which we took could have been better, their mohitos are really nice! for starters they have a variety of "very hatke" dim sums which are made with coriander and are actually very chewy and fun to eat! pure palate pleasure and not to forget the crispy spinach which is light and crispy, soups are flavorful, both Manchow and Hot and Sour tasted good!
