The Monk: Watch a live Oriental kitchen with a relaxing cocktail in a contemporary ambience at Monk. Part of a five star hotel, tucked away in an upscale mall, The Monk is a welcome change from the typical Chinese fare. Ambience is chic, dark wood pillars and laidback dcor gives an al fresco feel, the live kitchen adds wonderful aromas of exotic Chinese food. The concept is meal in a bowl, choose from a variety of noodles, steamed or sticky rice, add a vegetarian or non vegetarian main course and thats your customized meal. The starters are great with alcoholic beverages.

very interesting place, worth a visit if you are in that part of town. The restaurant feels al fresco, except it is enclosed in a mall. Food is pretty good, quick service, great place for a business lunch.
i quite liked the glutinous sticky rice bowl with the ginger garlic sauce. Quite authentic. My friends though preferred to stick to the safe noodles!
