Aquarist Society Of Karnataka: Aquarists in Bangalore have a thriving club: The Aquarists' Society of Karnataka. The Society is an association of Aquarists, Educationists, Professionals, Manufacturers of Aquarium Accessories and Fittings, and Importers and Exporters of Aquarium Essentials. Life members get "Infoaquaria," with subjects ranging from how to set up your first aquarium to how to set up a commercial production and marketing facility. With a nominal entry fee, the aquarium is very accessible. The first floor has a display of mostly native Indian fish: mahseers, catfish, snakeheads and perches including tilapia. The top floor has a variety of small sea, river and decorative fish.
